Congratulations! Just by coming here you show that you are committed to growing your business and want to create a freelance business that works for you. Chances are that you are either freshly graduated with a degree in linguistics, or that you have made a career change from being an employee, with a specialization in another field than marketing. You are passionate about the craft of translation, but know little about how to market your business. That is what the content on this website can teach you.

My journey

When I went to college, I had no idea what I wanted to be, or work with, so I studied international marketing and business. However, I was passionate about languages and other cultures, so I combined marketing with studying languages, six of them. After graduating I worked with marketing in an international company and it was not until I moved to the US with a toddler and pregnant that I started looking at other options. I did some research I decided to make use of my language skills, and that is how another freelance translator was born. That was in 2003. My marketing background has helped me a lot when building my business and for the past 7 years I have enjoyed helping other freelance linguists grow and market their businesses.
